Sullivan’s Island feels like a throwback in time, where chatting with neighbors over a good meal and a sweet tea followed by a sunset stroll is as busy as it gets.
Edgar Allan Poe was stationed here in 1820s and the set “TheGold Bug”, a short story about buried fortune. Many of the streets and local libraries are named in honor of the famous writer.
